James Sanders, also known as Whizzer, is a Marvel Comics character. He first appeared in The Avengers #69 (October 1969). He is a character associated with super-speed.
Sanders gained his abilities through a blood transfusion from Mongo the Mongoose, which was irradiated. His powers initially manifested as enhanced speed. Later in his career he adopted the alias Speed Demon, after an encounter with the Squadron Supreme.
The Speed Demon iteration involves greater levels of aggression and less control than his Whizzer persona.
